Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, how we use it, and how your audio files are handled — clearly and without legalese.
The short version: We process your audio files to remove background noise and then delete them immediately. We never store, listen to, or share your recordings. We collect only the account information needed to provide the service.
1. Overview and who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how noise-remover.com ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal information when you use our website at noise-remover.com and our related services, including the Studio, API, and dashboard (collectively, "the Service").
noise-remover.com is operated by a team based in Lahore, Pakistan. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly. This policy is written to be clear and understandable — not buried in legalese.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use our Service.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@noise-remover.com.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide to us
- Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a bcrypt hash — we never store your plaintext password). If you sign up via Google OAuth, we receive your name and email address from Google.
- Payment information: When you subscribe to a paid plan or make a Pay As You Go purchase, payment information (card number, billing address) is collected and processed directly by Stripe or PayPal. We do not receive or store your full card number — only a transaction reference ID and the last four digits of your card for your records.
- Communications: When you contact our support team via email or our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message to respond to your enquiry.
- Reviews and feedback: If you submit a review on our reviews page, we collect your name, optional role description, email (for verification, not published), and review text.
- Newsletter subscriptions: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service — pages visited, features used, processing jobs submitted, presets selected, and download actions. This data is used to improve the Service and is not linked to your audio content.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, and session duration. We use this for security, fraud prevention, and service reliability purposes.
- Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies and local storage to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyse service usage. See Section 6 and our Cookie Policy for full details.
2.3 API usage data
For API users, we additionally collect API request logs (timestamps, endpoints called, file sizes submitted, processing results) to calculate usage against your plan limits, detect abuse, and provide you with usage analytics in your dashboard. These logs do not contain the content of your audio files.
3. How we use your information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- Providing the Service: Processing your audio files, managing your account, calculating and enforcing plan limits, and delivering your processed audio files.
- Billing and payments: Processing your subscription payments and PAYG purchases, sending receipts, and managing billing disputes.
- Communications: Responding to your support requests, sending transactional emails (account verification, password resets, payment receipts), and if you have opted in, sending our newsletter and product updates.
- Service improvement: Analysing usage patterns to improve our AI models, user interface, and feature set. Audio file content is never used for model training — see Section 4.
- Security and fraud prevention: Detecting and preventing fraudulent activity, abuse of free plan limits, and unauthorised access to accounts.
- Legal compliance: Complying with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.
4. How we handle your audio and video files
Your audio files are not stored, not listened to, not used for AI training, and not shared with any third party. They are processed and immediately deleted.
Specifically:
- Input files: Your uploaded audio or video files are transferred to our processing servers over an encrypted HTTPS connection. They are stored temporarily in memory and on encrypted temporary storage only for the duration of processing. Immediately after processing completes, input files are permanently deleted from our servers.
- Output files: Processed (clean) audio files are stored on our servers for a maximum of one hour to allow you to download them. After one hour, they are permanently and automatically deleted. This deletion is not reversible.
- No AI training: We do not use any customer audio files — input or output — to train, fine-tune, or evaluate our AI noise removal models. Our models are trained entirely on separate, licensed datasets. This is an absolute policy with no exceptions.
- No human access: No employee of noise-remover.com has access to or listens to your audio files. Processing is entirely automated. Support team access to account information does not include access to audio file content.
- No content analysis: We do not analyse the content, language, words, or subject matter of your audio files for any purpose.
5. Data sharing and third parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes. We share data with third parties only in the following limited circumstances:
5.1 Service providers
- Stripe: Payment processing for subscriptions and PAYG purchases. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of payment data. We share only what is necessary to process your payment.
- PayPal: Alternative payment processing. Subject to PayPal's privacy policy.
- Email delivery provider: We use a transactional email service to send account verification emails, password resets, and receipts. Your email address is shared with this service for the purpose of delivery only.
- Cloud infrastructure: Our servers run on cloud infrastructure. Server providers have access to infrastructure but not to application data or audio files.
- Analytics: We may use privacy-focused analytics to understand Service usage. No personally identifiable information is shared with analytics providers without explicit consent.
5.2 Legal requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of noise-remover.com, our users, or the public.
5.3 Business transfers
If noise-remover.com is acquired by or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and a prominent notice on our website at least 30 days before any such transfer occurs, and you will have the option to delete your account prior to the transfer.
6. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service. For complete details on what cookies we use, why, and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy.

7. Data retention
- Account data: We retain your account information (name, email, usage history) for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we delete all personal data within 30 days.
- Payment records: We retain billing records for 7 years to comply with financial and tax regulations. These records contain transaction amounts and dates but not full payment card information.
- Support communications: We retain support ticket contents for 2 years to allow follow-up on recurring issues. You may request deletion of specific communications.
- Audio files: Input files deleted immediately after processing. Output files deleted within 1 hour of processing completion. No exceptions.
- Usage logs: Aggregated, anonymised usage statistics are retained indefinitely. Individual usage logs (API requests, job submissions) are retained for 90 days then purged.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data. We honour these rights for all users regardless of jurisdiction:
- Right of access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We will respond within 30 days.

- Right to data portability: You may request an export of your account data in a machine-readable format (JSON). This includes your account information and processing history but not audio files (which are deleted immediately).
- Right to object: You may object to certain processing of your data, including direct marketing communications (unsubscribe from any email using the link in the email).
- Right to restrict processing: You may request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@noise-remover.com. We will respond within 30 days of receiving your request.
9. Data security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data:
- All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS (TLS 1.2 minimum, TLS 1.3 where available).
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with a work factor of 12 — we never store plaintext passwords.
- Our servers operate in secure data centres with access controls, intrusion detection, and regular security audits.
- Payment processing is handled by PCI DSS-compliant processors (Stripe, PayPal) — we do not store payment card data on our servers.
- Audio file storage (temporary, during processing) uses encrypted volumes.
- We conduct regular security assessments and promptly address identified vulnerabilities.
Despite these measures, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to security@noise-remover.com.
10. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@noise-remover.com and we will promptly delete that information.
If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you must have parental consent to use the paid features of the Service.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email (to the address associated with your account) and by posting a prominent notice on our website at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The updated policy will include a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
